"Faith, Hope, and Charity"

Who We Are

Jerusalem Lodge #100 is a constituent lodge of the Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge of Florida. We are a fraternal organization built on the ancient landmarks of Freemasonry, carrying forward the legacy of our founder, Prince Hall.

🤝

Brotherly Love

The bond that unites us. We support one another in health and sickness, joy and sorrow.

🕯️

Relief

Our duty to the community. We provide for the widow, the orphan, and those in distress.

📜

Truth

The foundation of every virtue. We seek wisdom through study and faithful labor.

A Living Legacy

Prince Hall was a visionary leader, an abolitionist, and the founder of African American Freemasonry. In 1775, he and fourteen other men of color were initiated into Lodge No. 441 of the Irish Grand Lodge.

Today, Jerusalem Lodge #100 continues this noble work, shaping the future of our brothers and the community of Florida.

A Pillar of Tampa's Foundation

Established in 1892, Jerusalem Lodge No. 100 has been more than a fraternal meeting place; it was a cornerstone of Black civic life in Tampa during the Jim Crow era.

Our history is deeply intertwined with the city itself. In 1887, members of the Lodge comprised nearly half of the Black voters who signed the petition for Tampa's incorporation, helping to establish the very foundation of the city we call home.

Led by our first Worshipful Master, Joseph A. Walker, and influential members like Fortune Taylor and Peter W. Bryant, the Lodge fostered Black leadership and community resilience when it was needed most.
